A kind of magic
A new view of the Rosette Nebula that, through deep processing with Photoshop, now shows the stars separated by gas and dust. Thanks to Jay GaBany for the idea! Original image was taken on Feb 6, 2011 with Canon 400D on William Optics Megrez 72 ED with 0.8X reducer/corrector and LPS-P2 filter. 24 frames (10 min each@800 ISO), processed with MaxIn DL and Photoshop CS5.
